Trying to find a decent job or even job listing these days is tough. If you arent already with a recruiter, its time to think about dealing with a few head hunting firms.
The first thing thats important is to identify the right recruiters for your field. Most are specialty these days, so you need to know theres a match before you go any further. If you know someone who has worked through them, get a referral. Or maybe someone in your network. Get that LinkedIn account going, and find people through it. Its a great resource so dont dismiss it. When you make the initial contact with the recruiter, it should be in the form of an introductory letter with general information on your employment history and accomplishments, but short and sweet. You want at least one face to face meeting and thats a good way to get it. Once you make contact with a recruiter, keep up the relationship. IT maybe that a job doesnt come a long for a while but you want to be remembered if one does. Dont count on him just keeping your resume |
